John Loxton born 1903 in Adelaide and died 1971.Studied at the National Gallery of Victoria and Swinburne Technical College, Melbourne. A skillful painter in the impressionist oil and watercolour tradition. Travelled Europe 1948-50 and 1965 held an exhibition at the Qantas gallery London. Awards include prizes for watercolours at Geelong, 1940 and Albury in 1947. Represented in state and regional galleries.
