Arthur Collingridge born England 1853 and died Sydney 1907. He was a painter, illustrator and teacher. Arthur and his brother founded the Art Society of NSW and was a staff artist for the Illustrated Sydney News, contributor to Town and Country Journal and Sydney Mail, later helped start Centennial Magazine.   Collingridge was a Trustee of the Art Gallery of NSW, 1900-7, art instructor at technical schools at Bathurst, Orange and Lithgow.  Represented: Art Gallery of NSW.
