Hopkins, William H

William Henry Hopkins was a British artist from Keynsham, Bath. He was well known for painting scenes with horses and actively painted from 1853 until 1892. Sometimes his paintings were completed jointly with the artist Edmund Havell who was also a British painter (1819-1894).He exhibited a total of 37 works at the Royal Academy, 21 at the British Institute and 24 at the Suffolk Street Galleries. He is represented in the Royal Collection as well as the City Art Gallery Bristol, The North Somerset Museum & The Maidstone Museum.
